The Orange has received its eleventh verbal commitment for the class of 2015 from offensive tackle Evan Adams. He is the fourth offensive lineman in the class and joins St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) teammates Sam Clausman and Colin Byrne and Illinois recruit Cody Conway.
Adams stands 6’6’’ and weighs 300 pounds. He plays for Norwalk High School in Connecticut.
New SU offensive line coach Joe Adam is responsible for Adams’ commitment. When Adams officially made his decision public two nights ago George McDonald tweeted at his fellow offensive coach: “Congrats to@CoachJoeAdam for getting his 1st of many commits for SU #HardWorkPaysOff #powerball.”
Norwalk High School is not known for producing Division I athletes. But Adams caught the eye of SU coaches when his head coach Sean Ireland emailed his tape to Scott Schafer and company. The coaches liked what they saw, and now, six months later, Adams is a member of the Orange’s 2015 recruiting class.
It‚Äôs clear to see why Adam went after the Norwalk High offensive lineman: Adams has incredible strength. In most of the plays shown in his¬†tape, Adams steamrolls his opposition blockers into the ground. He doesn’t just block, he takes the defensive lineman completely out of the play. Unfortunately, there isn’t much information released for Adams, so it is tough to evaluate his speed and strength, especially compared to other SU recruits. That being said, his strength is clearly the best aspect of his game and definitely something SU coaches can work with.
Adams also received offers from UMass, UConn and Maryland. On the day of his commitment, he visited College Park to see if it would steer him away from the Orange. Luckily, Adams was unconvinced by what the Terps had to offer, and chose Syracuse later that afternoon.
With Adams’ commitment, Syracuse currently has a top 50 2015 recruiting class according to Rivals.com.

Another pointless article. All it says is “this kid committed.” There is no information here. No interview with the player, nothing from his coach, nothing. Plus it’s two days old now. He committed two days ago. So, so, so, so bad

The best way to maintain a consistent recruiting success for the O is to keep putting them into the NFL.The top elite teams in the country know that controlling the LOS is the key to winning titles.Adams is going to be one of those who helps big for the Orange.Add him to last year’s haul of Roberts and Ward along with the other incoming OL freshmen and you will see the bulk of the 2016 Offensive line.

Adams DID NOT make the top ten HSFB recruits from Connecticut!! And Connecticut is no football hot bed either like the article SAYS!! Another total gamble. He looks impressive on tape against 200 pounders. Being so called 300 lbs. makes that easy to do against 200 pound kids!! We’ll see!!
