Last week, both in his weekly press conference, and in an interview on The DA Show with our very own Damon Amendolara, Scott Shafer reiterated that he, Doug Marrone, and Doctor Gross have worked very hard to get the program back to respectability and now the coaches in place need to work on getting the Orange back to relevance. Well, that may be further off than anyone thinks – or wants to think.USA Today releases a poll every week. It does not just rank the top 25, but instead ranks all of the 128 programs playing FBS football. This week, Syracuse came in 85th. Last week, the Fizz took a look at the challenging stretch SU faces. If the Orange could have a respectable showing in this stretch, or if the Orange sat at 4-0 right now instead of 2-2, some speculated the Orange may have been able to return to the Top 25 rankings.

We’ve been telling you that since the Nova game! If you hadn’t hyped up the quality of the talent, the QB and the coaching staff people might not be so disappointed.
I’m loosing respect for Shafer…”Marrone and gross have worked very hard…” My ass. Gross is a little sicapaont that belongs in Newark with that xxxxxx that tried to destroy our University. Our academic have slipped..we’re now a first ranked party school with sex parties in the library and our football team is ranked 85 th in the nation!

i was one who predicted great things happening this year with the football program. A 9-3 season,going to bowl game and after beating Notre Dame would enter the top 25 at possibly #21 and after they beat Clemson this year would reach the top 15. Boy was I ever WRONG!!! The Villanova game destroyed all that I hoped for and thought would happen and brought me back to reality. After rethinking my earlier prediction of a 9-3 season,I highly doubt that this team wins 4 games. tonight they start their ACC schedule and it doesn’t get any easier.
The one thing that I would like to see,is the press stop stop building this team up and start writing the truth about them. We the fans can handle it you know.
