It felt like we were going up and down the field offensively. I feel like we really couldn’t be stopped unless we stop ourselves and that’s exactly what happened.” Whether it was turnovers or missed field goals, it seemed all day that the Orange could drive down the field but could not convert their work into points efficiently. A few big receiving plays down the sideline could go a long way for a run-driven offensive scheme.
Broyld’s absence will hurt the Orange with a tough slate of games looming against Notre Dame, Louisville, and Florida State in the next three weeks. Syracuse can only hope somebody else will step up to keep the chains moving through the air.

I agree with Terry’s statement that here we have a 4* player coming out of Rochester NY that hasn’t lived up to his potential as a player for Syracuse. Without looking back through the posts on the Maryland game,someone had mentioned our TE’s and how they were disappearing and not used in a game. I ask why don’t we use them more? Is the TE position one that has no value,other than a blocking dummy for the team? I haven’t seen Clay Cleveland being used as anything yet. What’s up with that,Is he hurt? I’m sure that we have people who could and would catch the ball if given the opportunity to play. Like I said in an earlier post,it’s time for the coaching staff to swallow their damn pride and step up and become a man if they want to continue to play in a mans world.
Terry is right on . Broyld isn’t a good hands guy. He has shown a bit in the open field on occasion. I liked Ben Lewis coming into the program and its taken him a while to get on the field,but Ithink he has more than shown especially downfield.
